Gently used repair parts out of a 44809 USA donor ratchet, equivalent to a 43444 rebuild kit. Ratchet must say “USA” on handle to be compatible. Fits vintage USA-made Craftsman ratchets 44809, 44814, and 44816.

The kit worked for my 44816, almost. Had to hand file the selector switch to space the pawl away from the drive head, from the box it bound up solid bit now it operates smoothly
This kit brought back my nearly 40-year-old ratchet back to life! They work like new again. The included levers were plastic, which are perfectly serviceable, but I prefer the metal ones. Mine were reusable so this really wasn't an issue. If you aren't handy making small tools, you might want to buy an assembly tool that traps the ball bearing. I made one by hammering a thick paper clip and filing it to fit.
More than I should’ve paid for it, but it did save the ratchet. All in all pretty good.
